1. Main Menu :- You can get to options, help and updates section from main menu. you can also add file and folder shortcut through main menu.
2. ToolBar :- ToolBar buttons is used to add, edit or delete shortcuts to My Computer or Control Panel.
3. Change Location :- Change where you want to add the shortcut. You can choose between My Computer and Control Panel.
4. Operation Mode :- You can add file or folder shortcut using Simple or Advance mode. If Simple mode is selected user can't change the name and icon that appears on the shortcut. Original file or folder name and default icon for that file or folder is used in the simple mode. If Advance mode is selected user will be given broad dialog where user can change name, icon and able to add arguments to application shortcut. If user doesn't provide name, icon and argument default will be used.
If you select Advance mode you will see above dialog after clicking Add File or Add Folder button. Here you can change name, path, icon or arguments of the shortcut if you want to change path than click on Browse button to browse for new location or you can directly enter valid path in text box before Browse. You can write command line arguments in the Arguments text box without leading space. You can change icon using Browse Icon than browse for icon on hard drive or you can directly type it in icon text box before Browse Icon button.
5. Shortcuts List :- Shortcuts you add will be visible in this list. By selecting item shortcut from the list you can edit or remove the shortcut.
6. Add File Button :- You can click on this button to add file or application shortcut. Based on your selection of operation mode appropriate dialog will be shown to you.
7. Add Folder Button :- You can click on this button to add folder shortcut. Based on your selection of operation mode appropriate dialog will be shown to you.
Right Click Shortcuts Creator, Right Click Cascading Menu Creator and My Computer Manager all have same basic interface except few minor differences. So all the buttons work same for all the tools.
1. Remove Shortcut :- This button when clicked remove the shortcut from appropriate location(Depends on which tool you are using).
2. Edit Shortcut :- This button when clicked gives the edit shortcut dialog where you can edit name, path, icon or arguments of the shortcut.
you will see above dialog after clicking Edit Item button. Here you can change name, path, icon or arguments of the shortcut if you want to change path than click on Browse button to browse for new location or you can directly enter valid path in text box before Browse. You can add option to your right click that enables you to add shortcuts directly from right click menu. This option is available in Right Click Shortcuts Creator, My Computer Manager, Send To Manager and Right Click Cascading Menu Creator. Click on the Options in Tools menu you will be presented with below dialog.
Check option that you want and click OK to add it to Right Click.
As seen in above screen shot there are differences between Windows 7 and other Windows.
Dialog shown in the screen shot is the right click editor's Add New Command Dialog. On Windows 7 this dialog has icon option that is not available in Windows XP and Windows Vista. When you see something missing or grayed out all the time in the other version of windows than that option is not supported on that Windows version.
